We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Sales Professional with proven experience in SaaS software sales within the automotive industry, specifically targeting car dealerships and automotive auctions.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in digital marketplace platforms and wholesale trading platforms where vehicles and related assets are bought and sold. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of closing multi-year contracts, confidently managing the full sales lifecycle, and building long-term partnerships within the automotive ecosystem. This role requires exceptional communication skills, commercial acumen, and a high-performance mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively identify, contact, and engage prospective customers within the automotive sector (dealers, auction participants, inspection partners, and strategic partners).
- Sell and close deals related to online car auction services and automotive software solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with car dealers, auto inspectors, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Execute outbound sales activities, including cold calling, lead nurturing, and follow-ups.
- Deliver professional product demonstrations, pricing presentations, and tailored solution proposals.
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead qualification, negotiation, closing, onboarding, and after-sales follow-up.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure high levels of service delivery.
- Stay informed on market trends, auction processes, and competitor offerings.
- Address customer questions, concerns, and objections professionally and effectively.
- Contribute to expanding the company’s footprint within the South African automotive market.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Proven experience in the automotive industry (experience with online car auctions highly advantageous).
- Demonstrated ability to close B2B and/or B2C automotive sales deals.
- Experience working with car dealerships, auto inspectors, auctions, and automotive partners.
- Strong background in SaaS sales, inside sales, or business development.
- Proven success in closing multi-year contracts.
- Excellent written and spoken English (mandatory).
- Confident phone presence with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and modern sales tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet targets.
- Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on performance and revenue growth.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be based in one of the following provinces: Free State, Mpumalanga, or Limpopo.
- Valid South African driver’s license.
- Ability to travel to client locations within South Africa as required.
- For remote engagements, candidates must have:
- High-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps upload and download speeds)
- Noise-cancelling headset
- High-quality video conferencing camera
